Mammography Technologist - New Britain, CT

Step into a specialized role utilizing your expertise in diagnostic mammography. Provide vital imaging services with state-of-the-art Hologic equipment at a dedicated, patient-focused site. This contract opportunity offers scheduling flexibility and the chance to focus on core mammography competencies without biopsy responsibilities.

Schedule options:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
• OR four 10-hour shifts per week for greater flexibility

Key qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification in Mammography
• At least 1-2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist (more experience highly valued)
• Strong proficiency in performing diagnostic mammography exams
• Familiarity with Hologic digital mammography systems
• Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and patient confidentiality
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to deliver a compassionate patient experience

Role responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality diagnostic mammograms using Hologic equipment
• Ensure images meet clinical standards for radiologist interpretation
• Prepare and position patients, providing clear instructions for optimal imaging
• Maintain equipment and adhere to safety protocols
• Collaborate with a supportive team to facilitate daily imaging workflow
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records
