Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered in Radiologic Technology with certification in Mammography (ARRT-M)
- Valid New York State license as required for the role
- Proven experience performing diagnostic mammograms and related imaging procedures
- Solid understanding of safety protocols, radiation safety, and infection control
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and clear patient instructions
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot various mammography equipment and digital imaging technologies
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and accurate records
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized mammographic examinations adhering to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, handle their concerns, and clarify instructions to optimize comfort and image quality
- Operate advanced mammography devices, ensuring accurate image capture and minimal discomfort for patients
- Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure image clarity and prompt review of studies
- Maintain accurate records within electronic health systems
