Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification in mammography and radiologic technology
- Demonstrated experience as a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech)
- Proficiency in operating digital mammography equipment and related imaging technology
- Strong understanding of imaging protocols, radiation safety, and quality control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and educate patients
- Ability to accurately document patient information and imaging results using electronic medical records
- Valid professional credentials for practice in New York
Schedule:
- Contract position; flexible shifts may be available based on facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for mammographic procedures with attention to comfort and safety
- Perform high-quality mammogram examinations as prescribed by physicians
- Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment according to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic results
- Provide patient education regarding procedures, address concerns with compassion, and ensure informed consent
