This contract opportunity in a busy New York City healthcare setting allows you to apply your expertise as a Mammo Tech in a collaborative environment focused on diagnostic excellence.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M) required
- Demonstrated clinical competency in performing digital mammography and related procedures
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and imaging best practices
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in mammography
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring image quality and patient safety
- Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely, accurate results
- Document patient histories and maintain accurate imaging records within the electronic medical system
- Uphold infection control policies, equipment maintenance, and department protocols
- Support quality improvement and compliance activities as needed
