Schedule/Hours:
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 5x8 hour shifts weekly
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend (rotating every couple of months)
- No holidays or on-call responsibilities
In this essential imaging role, you will:
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams in compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA standards
- Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, localization, and other image-guided procedures
- Provide patient-specific care and communication, adapting as necessary for age, culture, or special needs
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, requisitions, films, and quality control documentation
- Support continuous patient education, including pre- and post-procedure instructions and Breast Self-Examination teaching
- Ensure the compliance with quality assurance protocols including equipment, image, and processing checks
- Collect and manage statistics on patient follow-ups, procedures, and biopsies as directed
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of mammography experience
- Registered in mammography and radiologic technology (ARRT or equivalent)
- Demonstrated expertise in breast imaging techniques and patient care
- Experience in breast center or similar radiology environment preferred
