Travel Mammography Technologist in Newark, NJ

Schedule/Hours:

• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 5x8 hour shifts weekly
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend (rotating every couple of months)
• No holidays or on-call responsibilities

In this essential imaging role, you will:

• Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams in compliance with ACR, MQSA, NJ State, and FDA standards
• Assist with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, localization, and other image-guided procedures
• Provide patient-specific care and communication, adapting as necessary for age, culture, or special needs
• Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, requisitions, films, and quality control documentation
• Support continuous patient education, including pre- and post-procedure instructions and Breast Self-Examination teaching
• Ensure the compliance with quality assurance protocols including equipment, image, and processing checks
• Collect and manage statistics on patient follow-ups, procedures, and biopsies as directed

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience
• Registered in mammography and radiologic technology (ARRT or equivalent)
• Demonstrated expertise in breast imaging techniques and patient care
• Experience in breast center or similar radiology environment preferred
