Mammography Technologist | Palmdale, California

Seeking an experienced imaging professional to support mammography services, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with a diverse patient population. This contract position provides exposure to both screening and diagnostic mammography, including advanced procedures such as wire localizations, radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday with Saturday rotation
• Shifts fall between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM (hours may vary based on departmental needs)
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts (07:30 – 18:00)
• No on-call requirement
• Floating to various departments on the main campus may be necessary

Qualifications:

• Current California Mammography Technologist license and CRT (M) required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT certification highly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in mammography
• Experience in both 2D and 3D mammography, wire/radar localization, and stereotactic biopsy
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities:

• Perform both screening and diagnostic mammograms following established protocols
• Complete advanced imaging procedures, including wire and radar localizations and stereotactic biopsies
• Float between different imaging departments within the main campus as departmental needs dictate
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a high standard of patient care and confidentiality
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless patient experiences
• Adapt to changing schedules and caseloads (average daily caseload approximately 150)
