This contract opportunity offers a varied daily workload and the chance to work alongside skilled professionals in a progressive mammography department.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday, with Saturday rotation as assigned
- Day shifts between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM (hours may vary based on department needs)
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Floating between different departments within the main campus as needed
- No on-call requirement
Qualifications:
- Valid California Mammography Technician license and CRT (M)—required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credential—highly preferred
- BLS certification—required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in mammography—required
- Comfortable with both 2D and 3D screening and diagnostic mammograms, wire/radar localization, and stereotactic biopsies
- Open to first-time travelers
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms, including 2D and 3D imaging
- Assist with specialized procedures such as wire and radar localizations and stereotactic biopsies
- Collaborate with staff and float between departments as operationally needed
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and patient confidentiality
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 150 studies
- Provide compassionate, professional interactions with patients throughout their visit
