Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Mammography (ARRT Mammography or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Proficiency in operating digital mammography systems and imaging software
- In-depth understanding of radiology safety protocols and imaging best practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with patients
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality mammographic imaging studies following physician protocols
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and equipment calibration for optimal images
- Review and process images for quality and clarity before submitting to radiologists
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards
- Practice and enforce radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
- Assist radiologists and physicians with additional imaging tasks as needed
