Mammographer | Soledad, California

Deliver high-quality patient care and advanced diagnostic imaging in a supportive, collaborative environment. This position focuses on mammography, requiring expertise in both screening and diagnostic procedures and a commitment to compassionate service for patients of all ages. You will work closely with radiologists, imaging professionals, and other departments to ensure efficient workflow, maintained standards, and the best possible patient outcomes.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, contract position

Qualifications:

• ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography
• Active California Radiologic Technologist License
• Active California Mammographic Technologist License
• Active California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist License
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
• California Venipuncture Certificate (or acquired within 3 months of hire)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mammography technologist roles

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography examinations following established protocols
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning for optimal imaging results
• Maintain strict adherence to ALARA radiation safety standards and departmental policies
• Review and coordinate imaging orders, and track previous studies for comparison
• Educate patients about procedures, breast health, and self-exams
• Serve as a technical expert for breast imaging, quality control, and equipment
• Collaborate across modalities—supporting bone density exams, CT, X-Ray, and Fluoroscopy/OR procedures as needed
• Provide on-call coverage and participate in continuous quality improvement and outreach initiatives

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Standing/walking 4-6 hours daily, lifting up to 35 pounds, and managing exposure risks
• Direct care for a spectrum of patient ages and needs
