Mammography Technologist - Staten Island, NY

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Mammography Technologist through ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) with Mammography (M) credential
• Valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic imaging
• Strong knowledge of radiographic equipment, patient positioning, and radiation safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear explanations and support for patients
• Familiarity with digital imaging systems and PACS
• Ability to maintain accurate records and comply with HIPAA and departmental policies
• At least 1 year of recent experience in mammography preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality mammographic exams according to established protocols and physician orders
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout each imaging procedure
• Prepare, operate, and maintain mammography equipment, performing necessary quality control checks
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for assessment and diagnosis
• Accurately document patient information and procedure details in patient records and imaging systems
• Uphold strict infection control and patient confidentiality standards
• Educate patients regarding the mammography process, addressing any concerns professionally and compassionately
