Requirements:
- Current certification as a Mammography Technologist (ARRT (M) preferred)
- Valid radiologic technologist license in compliance with state regulations
- Proven experience performing a full range of mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams
- Solid understanding of digital imaging equipment, quality control processes, and radiation safety
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for maintaining patient comfort and education
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- CPR certification is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms according to established protocols and physician orders
- Ensure accurate patient identification, history, and documentation for each procedure
- Operate digital mammography equipment; perform daily quality assurance and report malfunctions promptly
- Maintain strict adherence to compliance, safety, and infection control policies
- Position patients properly to obtain optimal images while ensuring their safety and comfort
- Guide and educate patients through procedures, addressing questions and concerns compassionately
- Collaborate actively with radiologists for timely image interpretation and follow-up
