Mammography Technologist - Staten Island, NY

Seeking an experienced professional skilled in Imaging - Mammography for an immediate opportunity as a Mammo Tech. This contract position offers a dynamic clinical environment where your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care and diagnostic excellence.

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT (M) certification or equivalent mammography credential required
• Valid licensure as per state and regulatory guidelines
• Proven experience operating mammography equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures
• Knowledge of radiology safety procedures and quality control standards
• Ability to work accurately and compassionately with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with physician orders
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during imaging procedures
• Follow established protocols for imaging, image processing, and archiving
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless workflow
• Maintain and calibrate equipment to guarantee optimal performance
• Adhere to all radiology department guidelines, infection control, and radiation safety regulations
• Accurately document patient information and procedures in electronic medical records
• Support ongoing quality assurance initiatives and participate in continuing education
