Mammography Technologist - Staten Island, NY

Qualifications:

• Certified or registered in Mammography Technology
• Experience performing mammography procedures in a clinical or hospital setting
• Strong knowledge of imaging equipment and proper positioning techniques
• Ability to adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork
• Current BLS certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform digital mammography exams as ordered by physicians, ensuring accuracy and high-quality images
• Prepare and educate patients regarding procedures, addressing concerns and maintaining patient dignity throughout the process
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment according to manufacturer and facility standards
• Accurately collect and enter patient information for medical records
• Collaborate with radiologists and support staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis
• Adhere to organizational safety protocols and radiology best practices
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused environment
