Mammography Technologist | Whittier, California

Step into an engaging opportunity in the Imaging - Mammography field, supporting patient care across a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position offers valuable hands-on experience in both screening and diagnostic mammography, including 2D and 3D imaging, wire localizations, radar localizations, and stereotactic biopsies. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team, rotating across different departments within the main campus to meet patient needs.

Schedule & Hours:

• Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation
• Shifts between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM (hours may vary based on department needs)
• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts per week
• No on-call required, but floating to various departments is expected

Qualifications:

• Valid California Mammography Tech license and CRT (M) certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ARRT credential (highly preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography (required)
• Open to first-time travelers

Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures (2D/3D)
• Conduct wire and radar localizations, as well as stereotactic breast biopsies
• Adapt to floating between multiple imaging departments as staffing needs arise
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining quality standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support a high caseload (approx. 150 cases per shift)
