MRI Technologist | Akron, Ohio

Deliver exceptional patient care and produce high-quality diagnostic images as a skilled MRI technologist. In this contract role, you will use your technical expertise to operate MRI equipment, follow imaging protocols, and support physicians in accurate diagnosis. Requirements:

• Active certification in MRI Technology (ARRT-MR or equivalent)
• Current state licensure if required
• Previous experience performing MRI procedures in a clinical or hospital setting
• Thorough understanding of MRI safety protocols, including screening patients and staff for contraindications
• Strong interpersonal skills to comfort patients and collaborate with radiologists and team members
• Excellent attention to detail and troubleshooting abilities with MRI machinery
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records and ensure privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients efficiently and safely for MRI scans to ensure accurate results
• Operate MRI scanners to obtain high-resolution diagnostic images according to physician orders and imaging protocols
• Communicate scan procedures clearly to patients, addressing questions and concerns to reduce anxiety
• Monitor equipment for proper functioning and arrange servicing as needed
• Document procedures, maintain records, and uphold organizational and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and workflow
