Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MR) required
  • Experience operating advanced MRI equipment and performing imaging procedures
  • Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and contrast administration
  • Exceptional attention to detail for producing optimal images
  • Excellent communication to interact with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
  • Current BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for MRI scans, thoroughly explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
  • Operate MRI equipment with precision to obtain accurate diagnostic images as ordered by physicians
  • Follow all safety standards, including verifying screening protocols and monitoring for contraindications
  • Review images for clarity and completeness, recognizing the need for additional views as necessary
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with facility policies
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and adhere to quality assurance practices
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and medical staff to deliver cohesive patient care
