A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced MRI Technologist to perform a wide array of technical procedures in a contract role based in Alpharetta, GA. This position requires independent judgment and expertise to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, administering contrast media, and maintaining sterile techniques. The technologist will obtain patient histories, evaluate images for quality, and respond appropriately to emergencies. Collaboration with physicians and other technologists is essential, as is adherence to all safety and regulatory protocols. Additional duties involve equipment maintenance, documenting procedures accurately, and assisting with biopsies when applicable.

Key qualifications include:

  • Completion of an accredited MRI program with at least two years of professional experience
  • Current ARMRIT (Certified MRI Technologist) or ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and multitask efficiently
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MRI protocols, patient positioning, pulse sequences, and magnet safety
  • Commitment to follow departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards

Schedule:

  • Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM (day shift)
