MRI Technologist - Amherst, MA

Schedule:

• Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

• Current certification in ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT required
• Proficiency in operating 3T GE MRI equipment
• Thorough knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols
• Strong interpersonal communication skills for patient interaction and clinical collaboration
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a weekend shift
• Prior MRI experience in a clinical setting highly valued
• Massachusetts does not require a state license to perform MRI scans

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI scans, ensuring accurate imaging results following physician instructions
• Prepare and position patients for examinations, providing comfort and clear communication throughout the procedure
• Maintain and operate 3T GE MRI equipment in accordance with established protocols
• Ensure patient histories are thoroughly documented and that all imaging records are accurately maintained
• Adhere to all safety procedures for patients and personnel, including the implementation of MRI safety guidelines
• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with MRI equipment as needed
