MRI Technologist in Ankeny, IA

This contract position supports a leading regional healthcare system and offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art Siemens and GE MRI equipment. Candidates are needed to fill a role that involves imaging for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts (4x10s)
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)
• Call rotation: one weeknight and one weekend (Friday/Saturday) every 10th weekend

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated skills as an MRI Tech in a clinical setting
• Previous experience with Siemens and GE MRI systems strongly preferred
• Proficiency with power-injected contrast (drip) techniques
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR)
• Ability to float between Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran, and other nearby campuses as required
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• Compliance with facility-specific rehire and separation policies

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform quality MRI exams for a variety of patient populations, including ED, inpatient, and outpatient cases
• Manage patient care before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Administer contrast agents using power injectors as indicated
• Accurately document patient information and imaging data in EPIC EMR
• Participate in call rotations and respond to emergent imaging needs as scheduled
