Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT MRI or equivalent)
  • Minimum of one year of recent experience operating MRI equipment
  • Proficiency in all aspects of MRI imaging procedures, including patient positioning, protocol implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to interact compassionately with patients of varying backgrounds
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Expertise in maintaining compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards

Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible scheduling available based on department needs
  • Rotating shifts may include evenings and weekends

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Evaluate images for technical accuracy prior to submission for interpretation
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining steps clearly and addressing any concerns
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to optimize patient care
  • Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of MRI equipment; report maintenance issues promptly
  • Accurately document procedure details in patient records and the imaging database
