Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR preferred)
  • Valid state licensure, if required
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating MRI equipment and performing imaging protocols
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for magnetic imaging environments
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced clinical settings

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; specific scheduling details to be confirmed with facility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI equipment to accurately capture anatomical and diagnostic images as ordered by physicians
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort and explaining procedures
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including screening patients and staff for contraindications
  • Verify physician orders, update patient records, and collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure peak performance
  • Uphold strict standards of infection control and patient confidentiality
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives within the imaging department
