Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Current registration or certification in MRI Technology (ARRT (MR) or equivalent)
- Prior experience performing MRI procedures in a healthcare or hospital setting
- Knowledge of standard imaging protocols, MRI safety guidelines, and equipment troubleshooting
- Familiarity with PACS and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and team members
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Current BLS or CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images according to physician orders and established protocols
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
- Screen patients for contraindications and thoroughly explain procedures to reduce anxiety
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and imaging data
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless workflow
- Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate necessary service or repairs
- Adhere to all safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements in the imaging suite
