Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current registration or certification in MRI Technology (ARRT (MR) or equivalent)
  • Prior experience performing MRI procedures in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Knowledge of standard imaging protocols, MRI safety guidelines, and equipment troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with PACS and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and team members
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Current BLS or CPR certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Screen patients for contraindications and thoroughly explain procedures to reduce anxiety
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient records and imaging data
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless workflow
  • Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate necessary service or repairs
  • Adhere to all safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements in the imaging suite
