As an MRI Technologist, you'll contribute to expanding imaging services with the support of a dual-technologist model, using state-of-the-art equipment and gaining training across multiple vendor platforms—a unique opportunity to increase your versatility and skillset. This travel assignment exposes you to diverse workplace practices, connects you with expert colleagues, and allows you to further develop your MRI competencies and adaptability. Beyond the clinical experience, your off-hours can be spent exploring Boston’s scenic neighborhoods, historical landmarks, vibrant arts, and culinary scenes.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
    • 2:30-11:00pm
    • Week 1: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri/Sat
    • Week 2: Sun/Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute MRI studies from patient preparation to parameter settings, imaging, processing, and display.
  • Select protocols for clinical and research imaging, ensuring diagnostic quality and safety.
  • Insert and manage IVs, administer MR contrast agents, and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Instruct and enforce MRI safety policies for patients and visitors.
  • Perform and document scheduled quality control; troubleshoot and notify supervisors of equipment issues.
  • Rotate across MRI scanners, provide backup for department tasks, and liaison with clinical specialists.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Program (certificate/diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred).
  • BLS certification (within 90 days of hire).
  • Advanced MRI certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) within 12 months of hire.
