MRI Technologist | Charlotte, North Carolina

Advance your imaging career with an exciting opportunity to work as an MRI technologist on a dedicated contract assignment. This position features a consistent 12-hour night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am), allowing you to maintain a regular schedule and enjoy extended weekdays off. Strong teamwork and fair scheduling practices are core values, with call responsibilities fairly distributed among all full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler staff members.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (1900–0730)
• 36 hours per week
• Travelers remain on assigned shifts and days per contract
• Holiday coverage required unless approved off in advance
• No weekend/weekday rotations; set schedule maintained
• On-call duty and callback coverage are equitably rotated
• No floating to other departments

Qualifications:

• Registered technologist with demonstrated MRI experience
• Completion of accredited MRI technology program preferred
• Current ARRT (MRI) or equivalent certification
• BLS certification required
• Strong communication, organizational and collaborative skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality imaging
• Prior experience in a hospital or busy imaging center is strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images per physician orders
• Accurately position patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout each procedure
• Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in a timely manner
• Uphold all safety protocols related to magnetic resonance imaging
• Participate in on-call and holiday rotations as necessary
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and other staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes

$2,001 - $2,189/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
