Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist
  • Experience in performing MRI imaging procedures in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and operational procedures
  • Proficient with imaging equipment and digital PACS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
  • Current compliance with all required licensure and certifications

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans as ordered, ensuring proper patient positioning and adherence to safety standards
  • Prepare and educate patients prior to procedures, explaining processes and addressing questions or concerns
  • Monitor patients during imaging for signs of distress and maintain a safe, compassionate clinical atmosphere
  • Accurately document and archive images for radiologist interpretation and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to support continuous patient care
  • Perform regular maintenance and quality assurance checks on MRI equipment, reporting any issues promptly
