Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program with specialized MRI training
- ARRT (MRI) certification or eligibility preferred
- Valid state technologist license (or ability to obtain)
- Proven experience performing MRI procedures and operating advanced MRI equipment
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and infection control practices
- Excellent communication skills; ability to explain procedures clearly to patients
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and accuracy in documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, ensuring comfort and accuracy
- Interpret physician orders and tailor imaging protocols to specific diagnostic needs
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI machines, consistently producing high-quality images
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols for patients and staff, including managing contraindications for MRI procedures
- Document procedures and patient information accurately within electronic health records
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure diagnostic images meet clinical requirements
- Provide supportive care, addressing patient questions and concerns throughout the imaging process
