In this role, you’ll engage with a diverse set of imaging professionals, expand your clinical skills, and learn from a wide range of clinical approaches. The varied caseload and collaboration with expert radiologists and physicians will offer you invaluable hands-on experience that will significantly enhance your resume.
Schedule/Hours:
- Wednesday: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (imaging lab), with call 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
- Thursday: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (imaging lab)
- Friday: 6:30 am – 5:00 pm
- Weekend Call: Saturday 7:00 am – Sunday 7:00 pm (on select dates)
Key Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of MRI experience, preferably in a hospital setting
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- Experience with GE MRI machines and administering contrast
- Proficiency with Epic EHR and PACS (preferred)
- Associate’s Degree from an ARRT-accredited institute is preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to direct patient care
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI exams according to protocol, handle patient care before, during, and after studies
- Start IVs, administer magnetic contrast agents, and ensure all procedures meet safety regulations
- Troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions
- Mentor new staff and assist with oversight of MRI students
- Safeguard the accuracy of all patient and procedure documentation
