Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current certification in MRI technology (ARRT or equivalent)
  • State licensure as required
  • Proven experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting
  • Demonstrated expertise in imaging procedures, anatomy, and pathology
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and safely position patients for MRI procedures according to physician orders
  • Operate MRI scanners to obtain clear, accurate diagnostic images
  • Review and verify physician imaging requests to ensure appropriate protocols are followed
  • Maintain meticulous records, log procedures, and update patient information
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients, offering reassurance and answering questions
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to facilitate seamless workflow
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and quality assurance processes
  • Conduct and document equipment quality checks and routine maintenance
