Travel MRI Technologist - Edison, New Jersey

A skilled MRI Technologist position is available to support advanced imaging services in a dynamic healthcare environment. This travel opportunity offers the chance to apply expertise in MRI technology while working in a modern facility located in Edison, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Position patients accurately on the examination table and apply appropriate coils (e.g., head or knee coil) as per radiologist protocols.
• Utilize communication tools such as microphones to maintain contact with patients throughout the MRI procedure.
• Enter detailed patient data including history, anatomical scan area, scan orientation, and entry position into the MRI system.
• Operate the MRI console by inputting commands to specify scan sequences and adjust transmitter/receiver settings.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort by observing through control room windows and closed-circuit TV.
• Review image quality on video displays and make necessary adjustments to capture optimal scans.
• Record image data accurately using camera keyboard functions.
• Ensure magnet room safety by warning staff and visitors about metal hazards associated with MRI equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support imaging services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certification and proven experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Proficiency in MRI imaging protocols and operation of MRI scanners.
• Strong attention to detail and patient safety awareness.
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients and clinical team members.
