This 16-week assignment is designed for skilled MRI Tech professionals eager to elevate their expertise while working with Siemens 1.5T equipment. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate within a progressive team, managing complex cases involving both contrast and non-contrast MRI, as well as specialized procedures for pacemaker patients and breast MR studies. Gaining exposure to such diverse protocols enhances your skill set while introducing you to varied leadership styles, clinical practices, and facility workflows.
The assignment schedule ensures work-life balance, with consistent night shifts from Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 pm – 7:30 am, and no weekend or on-call requirements—giving you time to truly experience all that Fairfax and the surrounding region have to offer.
Qualifications:
- ARRT(MR) certification (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Previous MRI Tech experience, especially with Siemens 1.5T equipment
- Proficient in performing MRI with and without contrast, and handling studies for pacemaker and breast MR
Responsibilities:
- Operate Siemens 1.5T MRI equipment for various diagnostic imaging needs
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety
- Perform MRI procedures for a range of indications, including contrast, pacemaker care, and breast imaging
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and clinical staff
- Accurately document and communicate findings
