An opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced hospital environment. This contract role is situated in Gastonia, NC, and offers the chance to work with advanced Siemens 1.5T MRI technology in a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital setting renowned for its comprehensive clinical services, including Chest Pain and Stroke Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI imaging exams efficiently and accurately on adult and pediatric patients from emergency, ICU, and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team including imaging managers, modality supervisors, and lead technologists to maintain excellence in patient care.
  • Operate Siemens 1.5T MRI equipment and utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and workflow.
  • Participate in fair call rotation schedules and assist with holiday coverage as required.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols while maintaining a strong focus on communication, teamwork, and clinical skill proficiency.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as an MRI Technologist.
  • ARRT(MR), NMTCB, or ARMRIT certification required.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a high patient acuity and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude.
  • State licensure is not required for this position.

Shift and Schedule:

  • Contract duration typically 13 weeks.
  • Night shift position: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., 10-hour shifts.
  • No weekend rotation; travelers will maintain the agreed-upon shift for the contract duration.
  • Call duty shared fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travelers.
  • Holiday coverage expected unless pre-approved time off is granted.
