MRI Technologist | Gastonia, North Carolina

An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced MRI Technologist skilled in imaging—MRI, to deliver top-notch diagnostic services within a large, advanced hospital setting known for chest pain and stroke centers, Level I Trauma, and teaching programs. You’ll join a supportive and diverse department, using cutting-edge technology to care for a broad range of adult and pediatric patients from emergency, ICU, and outpatient environments.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour night shifts: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM (40 hours/week)
• Holiday coverage participation is expected unless approved off in advance.
• Call opportunities are distributed on a fair rotation among all team members.
• No weekend rotation—shifts remain consistent for contract duration.

Qualifications:

• One year minimum MRI technologist experience required; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Certification: ARRT(R) or NMTCB; ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong clinical skills, with confidence in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Effective communication and a collaborative attitude valued.
• State licensure is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI exams for a diverse patient population.
• Utilize Siemens 1.5T MRI magnets and EPIC EMR to document and track patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including lead techs, modality supervisors, and managers.
• Contribute to a positive, reliable department culture focused on teamwork and clinical excellence.
• Participate in call coverage and holiday shifts as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and follow departmental protocols, including scrub attire (Black).
