MRI Technologist | Gastonia, North Carolina

Step into a dynamic imaging department at a leading, high-acuity teaching hospital known for its Level I Trauma and Pediatric Trauma services, Chest Pain, and Stroke Centers. As an MRI Technologist, you'll join a supportive multidisciplinary team using advanced Siemens 1.5T magnets, handling a diverse caseload of adult and pediatric patients.

Schedule/Hours:

• 10-hour night shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m.
• 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Call coverage with equitable rotation among all staff
• No weekend or weekday rotations outside of the agreed-upon shift
• Holiday coverage required unless approved in advance

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience
• ARRT(R) or NMTCB, plus ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
• Active BLS certification
• Exceptional clinical skills; adept in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Open to first-time travelers
• No state licensure required

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations for a variety of diagnoses on both adult and pediatric patients from ED, ICU, nursing units, and outpatient services
• Deliver safe, effective imaging procedures while maintaining a patient-centered approach
• Collaborate with lead techs, supervisors, and the imaging manager to provide high-quality care
• Accurately navigate and document cases using EPIC EMR
• Adhere to departmental protocols and provide exemplary service during call and holiday shifts as needed
