MRI Technologist in Gastonia, NC

Step into a dynamic imaging department as an MRI Technologist, contributing to high-quality patient care in a busy, collaborative environment. This contract opportunity is based at an accomplished teaching hospital, recognized as a Level I Trauma Center with both adult and pediatric specialties, including chest pain and stroke centers.

Schedule:

• 10-hour night shifts, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
• 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• No weekend rotations; shifts remain consistent per contract
• On-call responsibilities follow a fair rotation shared among all team members
• Holiday coverage participation is expected unless pre-approved for time off

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of recent MRI Technologist experience (first-time travelers welcomed)
• ARRT(R) or NMTCB required
• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong clinical and communication skills; teamwork-focused mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with high patient acuity

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI exams on adult and pediatric patients from emergency, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient areas
• Collaborate with a skilled, diverse team including lead techs, modality supervisors, and managers
• Utilize Siemens 1.5T MRI magnets and EPIC (EMR)
• Maintain safety, quality, and patient-centered care standards
• Participate in scheduled call rotation and holiday coverage when needed
