Advanced MRI technologists are sought for a contract opportunity with a teaching hospital recognized as a Level I Trauma and Chest Pain Center. This role works with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment equipped with Siemens 1.5T magnets and leverages an EPIC EMR system. You’ll handle complex cases from a broad patient population, including adults and pediatrics from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients, performing a full array of radiology exams.
Schedule/Hours:
- 10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM.
- No weekend rotations; shifts remain consistent per contract.
- Rotational call schedule shared among staff for equitable coverage.
- Holiday coverage is required unless pre-approved.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience (first-time travelers welcomed).
- Certification: ARRT(R) or NMTCB, plus ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT.
- Current BLS certification; state licensure is not required.
- Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity, high-volume setting.
- Strong communication, helpfulness, and teamwork skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete high-quality MRI scans for a range of patient types with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with leads, supervisors, and managers to maintain workflow and patient care standards.
- Adapt quickly in a department averaging 40–45 patients daily.
- Share responsibility for on-call duties through a fair rotation system.
- Support holiday and shift assignments as outlined in contract terms.
