Qualifications:
- Registered or registry-eligible as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent).
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Previous MRI imaging experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Proficient in safe operation of MRI scanners and familiarity with imaging protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction, coaching, and team communication.
- Ability to accurately manage patient records and imaging data.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with technologists, radiologists, and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality MRI scans according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Review patient history and prepare individuals for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
- Operate MRI equipment and related computer systems, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal image quality.
- Confirm image accuracy and promptly communicate critical findings to physicians and radiologists.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, including proper screening for contraindications and ensuring all safety measures are met in the MRI environment.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including patient records and quality assurance reports.
- Assist with general equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Provide compassionate care and support for patients experiencing anxiety or discomfort during procedures.
