Qualifications:

  • Registered or registry-eligible as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Previous MRI imaging experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
  • Proficient in safe operation of MRI scanners and familiarity with imaging protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction, coaching, and team communication.
  • Ability to accurately manage patient records and imaging data.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with technologists, radiologists, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI scans according to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Review patient history and prepare individuals for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
  • Operate MRI equipment and related computer systems, adjusting parameters as needed for optimal image quality.
  • Confirm image accuracy and promptly communicate critical findings to physicians and radiologists.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, including proper screening for contraindications and ensuring all safety measures are met in the MRI environment.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation, including patient records and quality assurance reports.
  • Assist with general equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide compassionate care and support for patients experiencing anxiety or discomfort during procedures.
