Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification in MRI technology (ARRT (MR) or equivalent)
  • Recent hands-on experience operating MRI equipment in a healthcare setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MRI safety protocols and procedures
  • Strong patient communication and comfort skills
  • Ability to adapt to evolving clinical workflows and technologies
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities
  • BLS certification (current or attainable prior to start date)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct MRI examinations according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining each step to ensure comfort and safety
  • Monitor patients throughout exams, promptly addressing any concerns or reactions
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring optimal image quality while prioritizing patient safety
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in electronic medical systems
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to deliver coordinated patient care
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, facility policies, and infection control standards
