Qualifications:
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI required
- Completion of an accredited MRI program
- State licensure, if required
- Previous experience as an MRI Technologist preferred
- Proficiency in the use and maintenance of MRI equipment
- Strong communication skills and compassionate patient interaction
Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physicians
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the exam
- Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions to alleviate concerns
- Position patients correctly to ensure proper imaging
- Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver timely imaging services
- Maintain accurate records of performed procedures and patient information
- Troubleshoot and report equipment issues as needed
