Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent required)
- Valid state licensure as applicable
- Demonstrated experience operating MRI systems and performing high-quality imaging studies
- Knowledge of patient safety and MRI safety protocols
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in imaging procedures
- BLS certification required
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures following established protocols to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety during scans
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality, cooperating with radiologists as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly
- Document all scan procedures and patient records accurately and securely
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines for patients and staff in the MRI suite
- Participate in ongoing education and training to remain current with best practices and advancements in MRI technology
