Qualifications & Experience:
- Certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent required)
- Proven technical experience operating MRI equipment in a healthcare setting
- Thorough understanding of MRI safety protocols and patient screening
- Competency in positioning patients for optimal imaging results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interactions
- Current BLS certification preferred
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI examinations following physicians’ orders and departmental procedures
- Evaluate images for clarity and report any technical issues to radiologists or supervisors
- Prepare and maintain MRI equipment, troubleshooting as needed to ensure continuous operation
- Educate patients on the MRI process and confirm adherence to safety guidelines, including screening for contraindications
- Document patient information and exam details accurately in electronic records
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure timely and efficient workflow
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations
