Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid ARRT (MR) or equivalent MRI technologist certification required
- Current state licensure as applicable
- Minimum of one year of recent MRI experience in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency operating GE, Siemens, or Philips MRI scanners
- Knowledge of safety protocols and understanding of MRI contrast administration
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Schedule:
- Specific shift and hours to be discussed with selected candidates
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality MRI imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring optimal image acquisition
- Explain procedures to patients to secure consent and alleviate anxiety, providing compassionate support throughout the exam
- Recognize and report abnormal findings or critical values according to facility policy
- Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment, following all safety guidelines for patients and staff
- Complete documentation and ensure accurate patient records in the electronic health record system
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive patient care
