Advance your MRI expertise by contributing to a high-volume imaging department, providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population. In this contract opportunity, you’ll be responsible for supporting acute inpatient and heavy neuro caseloads, including spine studies, strokes, head trauma, and athletic injuries. The facility features supportive resources, including 24/7 radiologist access, experienced colleagues, and specialized equipment. Please note that applicants residing within 50 miles of Louisville are not eligible.
Schedule:
- 9:00 pm to 7:30 am, Monday through Thursday
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of MRI procedures on acute inpatient and neuro cases
- Deliver compassionate care while handling a daily census of approximately 6–7 scans per tech
- Support imaging for a range of patient types, such as neuro and student athletes
- Operate Siemens Sola and Verio MRI equipment
- Ensure accurate electronic charting in Cerner EMR (prior experience preferred)
- Collaborate with radiologists, tech assistants, and other MRI technologists; occasionally operate solo on certain shifts
- Adhere to all facility safety and customer service protocols
- Wear ceil blue scrubs, maintain professional appearance
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of acute care MRI experience required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (MR) or AMRIT credentials
- Active KY license (or eligibility under grandfather provisions)
- Strong communication, organization, and patient care abilities
- Positive attitude and adaptability
- Open to first-time travelers with relevant background
