MRI Technician | New Britain, Connecticut

Schedule & Hours:

• 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
• 40 hours per week, guaranteed

Key Qualifications:

• Certification from ARRT or ARMRIT required
• Experience operating MRI equipment, including proficiency with GE, Hitachi, and Siemens magnets preferred
• No state radiology license required
• Strong technical skills and the ability to adapt to multi-manufacturer platforms
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality imaging and patient safety

Responsibilities:

• Conduct MRI scans in accordance with physician orders and standardized protocols
• Operate high-field magnets (7 GE, 2 Hitachi, and 1 Siemens) and address technical challenges as they arise
• Ensure accurate patient positioning and optimal image acquisition
• Maintain clear communication with patients to promote comfort and cooperation during procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to support swift and accurate diagnoses
• Monitor equipment performance and participate in minor troubleshooting and maintenance
