Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MRI imaging procedures and protocols
  • Experience with MRI equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Valid state licensure (as required)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Outstanding communication and patient care skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical imaging department is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate MRI scans as ordered by physicians, ensuring optimal image quality for diagnosis
  • Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear instructions and support throughout the process
  • Verify patient identification and medical history, ensuring safety and appropriate exam selection
  • Operate MRI equipment and related imaging technology with care and proficiency
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards
  • Monitor patients during imaging for comfort and safety, adjusting protocols as needed
  • Contribute to a collaborative work environment and assist with departmental workflows as required
