Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent)
  • Previous experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Proficient knowledge of imaging protocols, patient positioning, and safety guidelines
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns with compassion
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and PACS
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, proper screening, and thorough explanation of procedures
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment, troubleshooting issues as needed
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to optimize image quality and facilitate timely diagnoses
  • Monitor patients’ physical condition during exams and provide assistance as required
  • Maintain safety standards for patients and staff by adhering to established guidelines
  • Document procedures and maintain comprehensive, accurate records
