Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program required
- ARRT (MR) or equivalent certification is mandatory
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and best practices
- Excellent patient interaction skills, with a caring and professional manner
- Ability to work effectively with a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures as ordered, ensuring image clarity and patient safety standards
- Verify patient identification, explain procedures clearly, and answer any questions to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation
- Position patients and select appropriate imaging techniques based on clinical indications
- Review and archive images, ensuring completeness and clarity for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and equipment safety protocols
- Complete all required documentation and enter data accurately into medical records
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize workflow and patient care
Schedule/Hours:
- Contracted role with flexible shifts to accommodate departmental needs
- May include some evenings or weekend coverage depending on patient volume
