MRI Technologist in Oak Lawn, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Main weekday shifts: 11:30 am–8:00 pm, with occasional 9:00 am–5:30 pm shifts
• Weekend shifts: 7:30 am–4:00 pm, working every other weekend
• On-call rotation: Weekdays 8:00 pm–6:30 am, weekends 4:00 pm–7:30 am

Qualifications:

• ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT certification required
• Valid BLS certification
• Previous experience as an MRI technologist preferred
• Strong technical skills and keen attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal communication and patient care abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to adapt to rotating schedules and on-call commitments

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality MRI scans following safety protocols and physicians’ instructions
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, providing a supportive experience
• Operate advanced MRI equipment and monitor imaging data for accuracy and clarity
• Document exams and patient information accurately in electronic records
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with MRI safety standards
