MRI Technologist | Olympia Fields, Illinois

Seeking a skilled MRI technologist to provide quality imaging services on a contract basis. This role focuses on supporting diagnostic care through advanced MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Schedule:

• Primary shifts are 11:30am–8:00pm on weekdays, with some 9:00am–5:30pm coverage as needed
• Weekend shifts are 7:30am–4:00pm; required to work every other weekend
• On-call duties include rotational weekday coverage from 8:00pm–6:30am and weekend on-call from 4:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI scans per physician orders, adhering to established protocols
• Explain procedures and ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the process
• Evaluate images for quality assurance and relay findings to radiologists
• Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment and prepare imaging rooms
• Accurately document procedures, patient data, and relevant observations
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and participate in ongoing departmental workflow

Qualifications:

• Current ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed
• Demonstrated experience working with MRI imaging technology
• Strong patient interaction and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage rotating schedules including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties
