Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program
- Active ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent required
- State licensure as applicable
- Relevant experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of imaging safety protocols, including MRI safety procedures
- Exceptional communication and patient care skills
- Proven ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images according to physician orders
- Monitor images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to documentation standards
- Practice strict adherence to safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide compassionate support and clear instructions to patients before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as necessary
