Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology program
  • Active ARRT (MRI) certification or equivalent required
  • State licensure as applicable
  • Relevant experience operating MRI scanners in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of imaging safety protocols, including MRI safety procedures
  • Exceptional communication and patient care skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images according to physician orders
  • Monitor images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to documentation standards
  • Practice strict adherence to safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Provide compassionate support and clear instructions to patients before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment as necessary
