Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program (ARRT-MR preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and performing a range of imaging procedures
• Comprehensive knowledge of MRI safety protocols and practices
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• At least one year of recent experience performing MRI scans in a clinical environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and monitoring safety and comfort at all times
• Position patients accurately and use appropriate immobilization techniques to obtain optimal images
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures regarding magnetic fields and contrast administration
• Maintain accurate records of completed scans and patient information in compliance with facility protocols
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain a clean, organized imaging area
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate imaging
