Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist from an accredited program (ARRT-MR preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in operating MRI equipment and performing a range of imaging procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of MRI safety protocols and practices
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- At least one year of recent experience performing MRI scans in a clinical environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images according to physician orders
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and monitoring safety and comfort at all times
- Position patients accurately and use appropriate immobilization techniques to obtain optimal images
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures regarding magnetic fields and contrast administration
- Maintain accurate records of completed scans and patient information in compliance with facility protocols
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain a clean, organized imaging area
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate imaging
