Advance your imaging expertise in a specialized MRI travel role, offering the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment. This contract opportunity is structured for experienced MRI Technologists ready to make an impact in acute care settings. Please note: candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Louisville.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 pm – 7:30 am, Monday through Thursday

Key Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of acute care MRI experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • ARRT (MR) or AMRIT credentials
  • Eligible Kentucky state license (unless grandfathered in)
  • Experience managing neuro patients, spine cases, strokes, and head traumas
  • Comfortable supporting student athletes
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills; positive, collaborative attitude
  • Cerner EMR proficiency preferred
  • Siemens Sola and Verio equipment experience desirable
  • Willing to consider first-time travelers

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans for a daily average of 6-7 patients, with a unit census of up to 40 patients per day.
  • Deliver exceptional care to diverse populations, including acute neuro patients and injured student athletes.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team including radiologists (available 24/7), other MRI technologists, and tech assistants; some solo shifts possible depending on coverage.
  • Adhere to all facility protocols, providing top-quality imaging and excellent service.
  • Participate in holiday or weekend rotation as assigned.
  • Attend a full new employee orientation followed by approximately two weeks of department-specific training.
