An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled MRI Technologist to support imaging services across multiple clinical sites in the Greensboro area. This contract role is designed for an experienced professional ready to independently manage MRI procedures, with an emphasis on both quality patient care and technical expertise.
Schedule/Hours:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Shifts may fall on any day between Monday and Sunday, as assigned
- No nights or on-call responsibility
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently operate Siemens 1.5T and 3T MRI scanners
- Perform a variety of MRI examinations, including breast studies and research-related protocols
- Start IVs confidently and efficiently
- Assist with breast biopsies as needed
- Ensure accurate documentation using Epic electronic medical records
- Maintain high standards for patient safety, privacy, and comfort
- Flexibly float between primary and secondary imaging locations based on departmental needs
Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT (MR) certification required
- Minimum of 5 years’ MRI technologist experience in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated ability to start IVs independently
- Proficient with Epic EHR for imaging workflow
- Comfortable working autonomously—often as the sole tech per assigned machine
- Preferred: Experience with breast biopsies, research studies, and/or MRSO certification
