Qualifications:
- Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
- Valid state licensure as required
- Proven experience operating MRI equipment and conducting MRI scans independently
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, MRI protocols, and patient positioning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following safety standards
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures as ordered by medical staff, ensuring adherence to approved protocols
- Prepare patients for scans, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the process
- Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adjusting technical factors to optimize image quality
- Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any clinical changes
- Document all procedures and maintain accurate, timely patient records
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Follow infection control policies, maintaining clean and safe equipment and work areas
- Monitor and report equipment performance or malfunctions as needed
