As an experienced MRI Technologist, you will utilize state-of-the-art equipment and your technical expertise to ensure high-quality diagnostic images and patient safety on a contract basis.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
  • Valid state licensure as required
  • Proven experience operating MRI equipment and conducting MRI scans independently
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, MRI protocols, and patient positioning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following safety standards
  • Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures as ordered by medical staff, ensuring adherence to approved protocols
  • Prepare patients for scans, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout the process
  • Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, adjusting technical factors to optimize image quality
  • Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any clinical changes
  • Document all procedures and maintain accurate, timely patient records
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Follow infection control policies, maintaining clean and safe equipment and work areas
  • Monitor and report equipment performance or malfunctions as needed
