Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current certification or registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT MRI or equivalent)
  • Prior experience operating MRI equipment in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient in MRI safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff
  • Ability to accurately document and maintain patient records
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety
  • Operate MRI equipment and monitor imaging processes, following prescribed protocols
  • Assess image quality and ensure images meet diagnostic requirements
  • Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preliminary quality checks
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care
  • Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations
  • Provide patient education regarding procedures and answer related questions
  • Manage workflow efficiently to accommodate scheduling and minimize patient wait times
