Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT MRI or equivalent)
- Prior experience operating MRI equipment in a healthcare setting
- Proficient in MRI safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff
- Ability to accurately document and maintain patient records
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Operate MRI equipment and monitor imaging processes, following prescribed protocols
- Assess image quality and ensure images meet diagnostic requirements
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform preliminary quality checks
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care
- Adhere to facility policies, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient education regarding procedures and answer related questions
- Manage workflow efficiently to accommodate scheduling and minimize patient wait times
