Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program
- Current ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent credentials required
- Valid radiologic technologist license for New York (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong proficiency with MRI equipment and protocols
- Understanding of safety practices related to magnetic resonance imaging
- Excellent patient interaction skills with the ability to provide clear instructions
- Attention to detail in imaging and patient documentation
- Prior contract or hospital imaging experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to produce quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures following safety protocols
- Review requisitions and consult with medical staff regarding testing protocols
- Monitor and ensure the safety of patients throughout their scans
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures and outcomes thoroughly
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any concerns to maintenance or supervisory staff
- Stay current with MRI best practices and continuing education as required
