Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI, or equivalent certification
  • Previous experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical or hospital environment
  • Strong working knowledge of MRI safety procedures for patients and staff
  • Ability to position patients accurately and effectively for imaging procedures
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and colleagues
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and PACS systems
  • High attention to detail and commitment to precise image quality

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate MRI scanners and related technology to obtain diagnostic images per physicians’ orders
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and explain procedures for their comfort
  • Ensure accurate patient identification and image labeling
  • Position patients to capture required imaging angles, adjusting as necessary for optimal results
  • Monitor equipment for proper operation, reporting any issues promptly
  • Support radiologists and healthcare teams with timely transfer of imaging files
  • Maintain a sterile and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Document imaging procedures and patient information in compliance with regulations
