Schedule & Hours

  • 2 x 12-hour shifts
  • 2 x 8-hour shifts
  • Includes weekend and call rotation
  • Flexibility for department needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures for diagnostic imaging under physician guidance.
  • Prepare patients, offer clear instructions, and ensure a calm and cooperative environment.
  • Prioritize patient safety by adhering to magnetic resonance protocols and best practices.
  • Select and operate MRI systems, coils, gating devices, and all associated equipment.
  • Position and immobilize patients for optimal imaging results, respecting each individual’s comfort.
  • Execute venipuncture, maintain venous access, and administer contrast media as required.
  • Collaborate during interventional procedures and maintain strict aseptic techniques.
  • Evaluate image quality, reconstruct digital data, and ensure proper archiving and physician access.
  • Educate partners and students, supporting ongoing departmental learning.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required)
  • Experience as an MRI Technologist
  • ARRT Radiography registration and ARRT MRI registration (required)
  • Approved BLS certification
