Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR or equivalent)
- Current state license (if required)
- Proficiency performing MRI scans independently and safely
- Strong knowledge of imaging safety protocols and anatomy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced clinical or hospital environment is preferred
- BLS certification required
Typical Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images in alignment with physician orders
- Prepare and position patients with attention to comfort and safety, explaining procedures clearly
- Evaluate images for clarity and completeness before forwarding to radiologists
- Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in accordance with facility standards
- Monitor equipment performance, perform basic troubleshooting, and promptly report malfunctions
- Uphold infection control, patient privacy, and safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other providers to coordinate the best patient care
